Did you say you got a kindle @anon80629714? I got one and I LOVE it! Didn’t think I would but it is the way forward.

I find having smaller page sizes cuts the words into manageable chunks. I am reading game of thrones.

It doesn’t make a book with 400 pages look so daunting. I got it in the recent sale @anon35166066 . I have the Paperwhite version.

Yeah I got the paper white too! Is nice to read it at night when it is dark.

:slightly_smiling_face: I’m glad I got it. I was going to get the kindle Oasis as it was on sale too at £179 but for under £90 I just went with this. Not disappointed. It’s got all I need.

Are you able to retain information from the book. I’m not able to at certain periods I might switch off. I don’t remember what I read four pages ago. But I’m just persisting because I can retain more info than I thought.

I kinda zone out and go all on autopilot when reading. Still enjoy it though.

Reading and the realisation that it’s the norm to visualise. In my youth before mental illness set in I was an avid and eclectic reader. I never thought twice about not being able to visualise characters and scenes as as far I knew that was the same for all of us. However since I’ve known that’s not true it’s been difficult to pick up a fiction book. It’s the realisation that I’m missing something others get to experience that has rendered it flat and one dimensional.

I got back into reading by doing the same…Harry Potter books! It’s good to be reading again after many years of not!
