I am struggling to sleep

It’s not a good sign. Last time this happened I landed in hospital. This time I’m on antipsychotics but I’m worried. As I apparently have moods.

I often can’t sleep for days and suddenly sleep 24 hours straight!

Not sleeping is awful. I hope you find sleep soon.

You can try valerian it’s a natural sleep herb available at pharmacies

The Only Sleep Aid I Have Ever Heard ANYONE Mention Is Melatonin.

And It’s Like Placebo.

I Could Take An Entire Bottle Of Melatonin And End Up Going For A Hike.

For Four Weeks Or Month’s Or Years Straight.

Lol yes valerian works by raising melatonin but … It’s better than melatonin because i think it makes the brain produce it on its own.

When you just dump a munch of melatonin in your body it’s not the same. Also if you use too much melatonin I think toucan evoke desensitized to it. Therefore id say valerian is better long term.

You can get Kalms and Nighttime Kalms over the counter, Ish. They have valerian root. I also can’t sleep well. It’s been a month of 3-4 hours a night and I’m getting uncomfortable now.

Indeed. Well…, I May Give It A Shot. I Hate To Talk About The Sleep Energy Advancement And Such With My Doctor. For I Don’t Want Anymore Chemicals In My BLOOD. . .

Maybe you should try sleeping tablets.

They help me immensely.

Sometimes if you just lay in bed covered up and with your eyes closed it is not too bad the next day. Maybe you could talk to your pdoc about this.

Chamomile tea works for some. But I would always throw up after drinking it.

Melatonin didn’t work so well for me. But my friend, Dan told me that when he takes it, he takes it in the dark. Apparently, according to him, light destroys the Melatonin before it has a chance to work otherwise
