I thought I am doing great (in first several months.) now I am in a bookstore already for four months. They’re not firing me, but simply I am not a good worker. I’m not very good at it. It seems that I overestimated myself… the newcomers who came are doing better and trusting them more than me.
There is only one question - is my illness bothering me, or am I just a slow learner, maybe even a bit stupid. The field of work is not for geniuses, but I am certainly below average.

It’s already an achievement that you’re doing your job for 4 months. The beginning is usually hardest.
And like you said they are not firing you so you can’t be a total disaster.

I am thinking the same thing… it would be worse if they fire me. But they do not.
Simply sad moment is I overestimated my abilities.
And I def want to know whether it’s SZ affecting me or this is just me, actually. And the more time goes, the more I realise that my SZ form is mild, probably the problem is that I am a bit slower and even less intelligent (at some fields) than others

Don’t be too hard on yourself. … Like others said …how many people with SZ can actually work? You might have more resources than you think coffee. And take it from a guy who’s actually a slow learner…your not that

The most important skill is able to sell books. It is good idea to read a little bit on sales techniques. It is fun to try and get someone to buy with psychology

Yeah, I am working too but my job duties are difficult to compare with other employees doing the same work since my job is 1-person per work order. Only my boss has the perspective to compare if I am a good worker compared to my peers or not.
Are the newcomers younger than you?
In the past, have your worked at a bookstore before?

We have different skills than others. I was successful at my programming job for 5 years but my Fazoli’s job was awful.
