I always think I’m being stalked

So I freak out and end up deleting my social media accounts so they don’t ‘find me’.
Previously, I thought my doctor was stalking me on reddit—laughing at me and following me, so I deleted my entire account. I never brought it up with her, but I sometimes feel like she’s listening to my thoughts and watching me.
Recently, I started using Instagram, but tonight it dawned on me that I could be stalked so I deleted everything :frowning:
I feel like I can never use social media anymore; this is literally the only place I go to now.

Maybe you need another medication, I used to be like that, but it has been pretty good on abilify

I had paranoia issues with the larger social media sites in the past. That’s why I only post on smaller forums. I’d rather swim in a tinier pond.

Hmmm…

Always thinking you are being stalked. Is that called the Celery Delusion?

(Thank you! I’m here all week! Try the fish!!)

try to fact check. Who would be stalking you? Why would they stalk you? What would they gain from that? Ask yourself things like that.

Why does the thought of someone going through your Instagram bother you? If this is too personal feel free not to answer.

@wayward I always think the same thing about being stalked. I have this guy from college 20 years ago driving around my neighborhood. I can’t drive anywhere. He is everywhere. Once I start getting flattered by it (because I do like it) I fact check by going to his real Facebook page to see him frolicking on the beach with his wife, a woman 10 years younger than me.

@Noise I agree that fact checking is necessary but for some reason, fact checking is traumatic for me. I blocked my stalker on Facebook and that is the way it is going to stay.

I have none.no fb twitter no Instagram nothing. I don’t care if I’m being stalked. They know who they are.
