I never had confidence. Or at least I had false confidence and did a lot of stuff in my youth because I was to self unaware to know I shouldn’t have been able to do it all. In my adulthood, my confidence has not been strong. I always said I was the last person who should have got schizophrenia; I was already destroyed as a person since I was a kid and now schizophrenia has decimated and destroyed my hollow shell I had formed as a defense mechanism.
IDK, I feel I’m the best example of someone who has accomplished a lot without a shred of confidence. If anything, I show people it’s not impossible to be employed or get a college degree even if you have low confidence and low self esteem. I’ve been employed almost steadily since I was 22 and I’m 64 now. There was a year or two in there when I didn’t work.
But yeah, I don’t want to analyze it too much, I might talk myself into not working. I really don’t know if people irl can tell I have no confidence. If you have a good attitude and you’re a halfway nice, decent person people aren’t going to bug you about having no confidence, at least I find this to be true when it comes to being employed.

My confidence at work is very high these days
Mainly because I have the authority that comes with domain knowledge
Also presenting online I find much less anxiety now I am used to it
