How would you describe sz?

I thought a lot about how to describe sz to someone unrelated as short and precise as possible, but I have no idea how?

I would try something like: Schizophrenia is a condition that disturbs your mind so you can’t think clear.

What do you think?

I say “If I don’t take medication then I enter a waking dream world where I could be a danger to myself, and end up jumping off a building because I think I could fly”

I would describe psychosis as a waking nightmare.

Because it’s horrible and it seems like you are temporarily in another dimension or such.

Schizophrenia is horrible.

An illness created by the Elite to make sure some people like us don’t have the freedom to live life as we see fit. An entanglement of symptoms caused by Medication withdrawals.

A superpower (when the voices are kind), a way to pass the time. I was never sick until I gave in to the meds, gained weight, lost abs. It’s alright though, I understand how our decisions and behavior can be scary to some when we are not medicated!

As I have previously said:

An enigma wrapped in a mystery, confined in a straitjacket, stuck in the quiet room, and with a shot of Haldol in its arse. Next question?

Still accurate.

Uh, no. The local colloquialism for what you just said is complete horse puckey.

This is not meant as a one size fits all explanation for the root cause of SZ but it is my point of view and I’d be hard-pressed to change it after what I’ve been through. Also the word in bold escapes my understanding, will have to Google it, later!

You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

its like being enrolled in a government psyop psychological technilogical experiment against ur wishes and it is ■■■■

Schizophrenia is the most terrible, god awful worst thing ever in the whole wide world and I hate everything about it!

It’s like psychological torture mixed with fear and depression

I am tired of hearing voices, sounds, seeing pictures and thoughts that pop up in vision that tell me I’m dying, or someone is reading my mind, demons, aliens, witchcraft, sexual abuse and traumas, memory loss, everyone thinks yer an idiot, awkward social situations, weight gain, med changes, difficulty remembering things, shallow emotions, difficulty crying ---- excerpts of traumas replaying in mind from old horror flicks,

And the nausea! OH, the great and terrible NAUSEA!

:face_vomiting:

SO there!

That does not change the fact that you’re wrong.

If it was caused by medication withdrawals, it would cause people who take antipsychotics for other reasons like insomnia and depression to become schizophrenic wouldn’t it

the way I described psychosis in my book is " for every question there are six answers, and for every answer, there are six more questions, and this leads one down the path to psychosis."

It is just another Chronic medical condition that takes a lot of responsibility.

Crippling. Disabling

A nightmare. I guess it could be worse.

Looks like we are on the same page. I have alll those kinds of hallucinations too
