How will you take care of yourself when you get old?

If you have kids, that’s great. But some of us don’t have kids or don’t want to have kids.

Who will take care of you when you’re old?

Even if you have kids, do you feel you could be a burden for them?

I dont want to be alive and have my family die off they are all older than me. I would be homeless

How will you take care of yourself when you get old?

My plan when I get too old to take care of myself is to call 911 a lot.
If I crap myself and cant clean myself up, I will call 911 and tell them I think im having a heart attack. Then they will send an ambulance and cleaning me up will be part of the package.

Same thing if I dont feel like cooking. 911…instant free meal.

You just have to use your head on these things.

When I’m older my brother will probably hire a nurse or caregiver for me

I don’t expect mine to take care of me. If I reach the age where I’m becoming a burden, I will show myself to the exit.

I think of this occasionally. My best plan is meet a woman to share a good life with.

But if I don’t meet someone, may have to sell my house and live in a way I can get by.

I also think of this every now and then. Trusting a marriage like the old days doesn’t seem to be feasible these days tho.

I know damn well im probably gonna cop dementia at some point in my life. And im not gonna rely on the family either.

Ive got a fund for when im old, although i point blank refuse to go into a nursing home, ive done the carers job in that field, and theres no way your sitting me in a chair for 8 hours, pissing myself waiting for the call bell to be answered.

I will have private home carers, not a poxy company, that creams off the profits. I will interview them myself. And if they fit - they will be paid well.

That sounds like a plan! Glad you are that sure.

There should be private “luxury” nursing homes as well. Idk if you know something about them…
