After my divorce in March 2000 in America I lived in my car over two years, actually I stayed outside 783 days. I lived mostly in South Florida such as Miami, but I also traveled in many places such as NYC, Washington DC, Atlanta, New Orleans, LA and so on. It was quite hard to live in my Mazda 626 and I would not repeat it, but it was an experience. I had my gas stove I used to make my meals and make my coffee. I used the public coin laundries to wash my clothes. I often took showers on the beach of Miami Beach to take care of my hygienic needs. I saw many people and it was easy to drive from one place to another. I recall how I drove my car in Miami at night and thought that it is my town. I visited many high tech tradeshows such as SuperCom 2000 in Atlanta. I would have not needed to live in my car because I had money, but I wanted to live in that way. I did have a mailbox address in Miami where I got all my bills and other mail. I checked my mailbox weekly except when I was in LA for one month. So I know what people who are currently living in their cars in America are going through. So that is how it was in my car.
