How to stay out of trouble with paranoia?

During my latest psychotic episode I got into a verbal argument and confrontation because of my paranoia (and delusions). I was lucky I did not end up hospitalized or in trouble with the law. It could have escalated badly.

I still have some of those thoughts but I’m not getting into trouble over them right now.

How do you manage your paranoia so that you don’t get into trouble?

I request the more sedating antipsychotics to help me not get to revved up. I don’t get violent, but I do get extremely anxious. Sedating APs help me stay a bit calmer

I understand. I need the same. Great idea!

I take the melt in your mouth olanzapine like you do. I am so glad that that form of olanzapine has worked out better for you than the pills. I am so happy I mentioned it by chance. It really has less side effects for me too. :slightly_smiling_face:

Interesting. We should make sure when people are asking/talking about olanzapine what the ODT version does for us. Maybe it’ll help others too. I hope so at least

Yes! That’s another great idea! Good thinking! Let’s do this!

It’s funny. I always forget the generic name of it. It’s olanzapine ODT, correct?

I have taken it off and on for so very long! I even took it when it was not available in generic form yet. lol It was called Zyprexa Zydis then. And back then each dose came individually wrapped. I wonder why?

Yup. It’s called olanzapine ODT. I think they individually wrapped them to keep them from getting wet before being put in the mouth. My guess is since it costs so little now, it’s not cost effective to individually wrap them anymore
