Yesterday the sedation from geodon came back, it was pretty bad. I was so frustrated about it, it was gone for a whole week!! So now I have to skip my morning dose for the next 4 days because I cannot be sedated while driving on my roadtrip. I don’t have any other choice. I don’t know if I can stay on this med if it continues to sedate me, I don’t know how I could hold a job with it. Or I will have to start taking it only at night. (At night I actually appreciate the sedation since I get insomnia)
Maybe talk to your pdoc about taking a double dose at night?

I like this idea because my psychosis really only acts up badly at night, during the day I am fine. Especially since I’ll be living at home with my family and have regular activity again.

Hi @Anna Can you believe I actually had a full time job on this sedation? =(
So now I am only taking it by night 80 mg with a meal. It is working well by far and I look half my previous size too.
If you can take it only at night hope it works out + I REALLY HOPE you are completely stable when you drive! you might have withdrawal effects too. So just be 100% certain please!

My pdoc adjusted my olanzapine dosage so now I take it all at night. I’m still getting a decent night’s sleep, but I feel doped up when I awake. So my body’s still getting used to it.
