My pdoc took me off asenapine (Saphris) due to issues with anger, and agitation and aggression.
Now for psych meds, I’m on 20 mg of Celexa (citalopram) and 20 mg of Zyprexa (olanzapine).
Good news is I’m no longer irritable or angry.
Bad news is it’s getting harder and harder to leave the house due to paranoia, and I’m very sleepy and unmotivated. No amount of sleep is enough to feel awake.
On the other hand, it’s only been several days so I might adjust.
When I’m online I wonder what the men are saying to each other about what I’m writing. When I watch tv, I wonder what they are saying about what I choose to watch. When I change clothes or shower, I feel like they’re judging my body. Etc etc…. It’s all day everyday
I went from being super paranoid about getting shot and super paranoid about people breaking into my house, to those things barely crossing my mind anymore.
It shouldnt take more then 2 to 4 weeks for it to start making a difference.
Does it help you to tell yourself to be careful? When I was told to be careful it was always by someone hysterical so they weren’t capable of conveying the message of taking care. Very contrary words. I can tell myself to be careful and mean it, now. At least some of the time.
Olanzapine works for me. I am now on 5 mg Olanzapine + 50mg Amisulpride. No positive symptoms with a little sedateness (sleep between11pm and 8am). a little weight gain (5-10 kg) . Hope you get rid of the paranoia soon.
