It’s a valid point. Meds do work for most but it’s not the complete picture. In third world countries they often have better results than the first world. Having emotional and financial support in the modern world is really something that is an advantage for sure but the cornerstone is still the medications.

I have wonderful support but to access that and use it to my advantage I also have meds that work well for me…That is the other side of the coin.

Awesome! I’ve read a good chunk of Surviving Schizophrenia. I’ll have to look more into this book though.

I used to have “Complete Family Guide” but lost it. It was pretty good, but the layout in the Dummies one is pretty great and there’s tons of helpful information

I used own sz for dummies. Read it cover to cover multiple times. Made me feel not so alone. Lots of valuable information in there.

Oh cool. It’s a pretty solid book. Some of the neuroscience gets pretty technical in it.

All that aside I feel like I learned a good deal from it. :+1:

Suspicious…Wary of new people…Think others think negative of them…low motivation

Sounds just like me!

Yep. Sounds like me too. The closer I get to people the less I trust them. I always think they are trying to figure stuff out about me to use it against me.
