You just gotta find some way to cope, something that will keep you going , sometimes you just have to view life differently, and still be a good person becus if you are it means you are a strong person. And you will be rewarded when this world comes to an end. Never give in to the depression and negativity do things that make you happy

Yeah, sometimes, it seems to me that God only proves himself (eg. to be real) to people who are special (unusual, weird, extraordinary, etc., maybe schizophrenic?). Sometimes, it can be scary, but in the end, don’t worry – he has a sense of humour about things. He got me to lose my iPod in an alternative reality, but after I came back to the ordinary world, I found it in a cabinet.

Also remember that he has all the time in the world, so don’t be impatient.

Harrowing, isn’t it?

I saw another programme awhile back about people being chained in Sudan. It seems to be very common in Africa.

I find it very upsetting.

For me, as an unmedicated schiz, it’s all about coping mechanisms. A support system doesnt hurt either.

But I also understand that I’m pretty lucky to function as well as I do. A lot of people don’t have that luck or privilege

They lock them away from the city isolated from everyone in very sh!tty conditions. I know they still do that in my natal country. And there is no disability money or welfare there, its all on your family to support you or put you in the street where you wont be alive for long/taken by cops to an isolated place away from everyone. Mental illness has the worst stigma in poor countries.

They even torture them to exorcise them, take the devil out of them. Its stupid. My mother asked me if I want to be exorcised the other day, I got scared.

They make you stop all your meds.

I got kind of exorcised, obviously it didn’t work.

My Zyprexa is the glue that holds my brain together. Not literally, but you get my point.

Be grateful you have access to a doctor and meds. I sometimes think what if I’d been born before effective meds or born in a different country.

Yet some people still say that it is in the west that schizophrenics are treated badly and they would all be famous shamans in poor countries…

In poor countries they see us as possessed and the devil.

The video is so disturbing. The people seem to be chained to a tree. Very sad.

The west is more developped and believe more in science than being possessed.
