How to get trust level 1

hi

been lurking for a while, signed up to put a poll up, but i’m guessing that I don’t have a high enough trust level. it seems like i’ve met the basic requirements for discourse (https://blog.discourse.org/2018/06/understanding-discourse-trust-levels/) but i still can’t make a poll. have the default requirements for trust level 1 been changed? what are the requirements for trust level 1?

Nobody knows. The software has an algorithm that decides based on how much you post etc etc…

Just wait mate. And keep posting. You will get it automatically eventually. Its to stop spamming.

so i tried posting in “What song are you listening to” but it wouldn’t let me because new users can’t include links.

those preparing for advanced schizophrenia forum trivia should note that the system still let me include a link when i created a new topic.

They keep changing. We stopped trying to keep up, and now we just accept the updates when they roll out.

still haven’t got trust level 1… stats so far:

  • 7 days visited
  • 10h read time
  • 90 topics viewed
  • 1.7k posts read
  • 11 likes given
  • 33 likes received
  • 3 topics created
  • 21 posts created

This is what discourse says is needed:

  • Entering at least 5 topics
  • Reading at least 30 posts
  • Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

assuming by entering a topic they mean view the topic…

I have their requirements crushed

@krw, the spam filter has flagged your account with a very low trust level. It can override default Discourse settings. We’ll look into it.
