The drug companies offer pretty good discounts for people who can’t afford their med’s. Ask your pdoc about that. Are you hooked up to any kinds of support - one on one counseling, group counseling, etc.? Someone might know about this issue. Maybe they can set you straight.

i hv three option either to go for discounted med
but i m not sure if i m allowed to get it
or buy generic
or ask doc for less meds that what i prefer less side effects more good quality life

I would definitely switch to the generic meds. There is essentially no chemical difference between the original and the knockoff

Geodon is not completely without side effects, but I find it vastly better than the typical AP’s. I hate those. I’m like a zombie when I am on them. They’re coming out with new AP’s. You might ask your pdoc about them.

If you have either Medicaid or Medicare, you don’t qualify for help from the drug companies. I have Medicare and make sure I take cheap meds so I can afford my share of the cost

Just buy the generics.

I think all the psychotropic drugs I take are generics. They do what they are supposed to do.

Doctors are always getting samples from pharmaceutical companies and can give them to you.
