I think Abilify Maintena isn’t the right med for me
I’d like to take pills if possible but a different injection would be fine too
What antipsychotics are good?

Abilify isn’t for everyone. It’s really a trial-evaluation type thing. Some are more sedating than others like zyprexa. Clozaril too is very sedating and effective but requires blood work done. Then there’s sexy ones like latuda and geodon that ive never taken
If you need a injection These antipsychotic drugs come in a long-lasting form:
You have to ask your Dr of course.
For me Risperdal was best out of Latuda, Abilify, Zyprexa.
I will ask my dr when I meet her next time in 8 days
I won’t ever touch Clozaril unless my symptoms become severe
Also, I kinda dislike Haldol although I’ve never tried it
I really like Saphris. You take it under your tongue, it tastes awful, but you get used to it. But then about 20 minutes later you go to sleep and then when you wake up you are clear headed and the voices are gone. It’s pretty good.
Everyone has different reactions to prescription meds but from my research the side effects of weight gain in particular was less on abilify … it was a lifesaver the others I gained weight
So it sedates you? I don’t like heavy sedation
It makes you fall asleep but when you wake up you don’t feel sedated anymore. No medicine head.

This website has comparison between all the medicine side effect profile and efficacy
I’ve had really good results with Latuda and Saphris, especially Saphris.
No sedation, no zombie effect, no weight gain
I think Invega may work for u, at medium dose
Why? I heard Invega is a bad med
I liked Invega. I just can’t afford it anymore
I take Invega. It controls the psychosis with some side effects though.
You’ve never tried it so how can you dislike??
