I’m now a sexless schizophrenic about 90% of the time. The 10% is rare.

They need to find a cure for this disease. :slight_smile:

Well my record for jerking off before anti-psychotics was 6 in a day. And since anti-psychotics it’s 4??? So 33%

Antipsychotics didn’t impair me sexually much, lithium did a lot though. To get into the gross details, I could orgasm but could not ejaculate (nothing would come out) and that bothered me very much.

Does anyone know if the effects are permanent? It is sad because it is a part of life too and it is like a part of you has died if you can’t get aroused or orgasm.

I don’t think it’s permanent. Lithium induced sexual dysfunction went away for me.

Supplements help a lot for me. If I didn’t use them I don’t know how functional I’d be sexually. I still lack a sex life though at this time in my life, but I do get off on my own when I want to.

only one ap has affected my drive

i was very highly sexed on all the others

i put 50% because before my current meds 10%
now 90%

You should have an option for 0%, because I haven’t noticed any difference on any of the APs I’ve been on.

Well Abilify lowered my libido a lot. Risperidone did not lower my libido but made it impossible to orgasm, which was awful because I had no outlet for anything then. Latuda I don’t remember if it did anything or not.

I’d say 50%, but i really don’t care anymore, I’m alone 99% of the time and I was always over active before

I’m back on top of my sex drive… like never before… except now I’m finding it’s the women that are disappointing me.

Thought that if I could just get to the point where I lasted long enough, the girls would respond by taking advantage of the opportunity… only to find a lot of dis-coordinated laziness…

I’ll find the right one to do that with soon enough I think… one who likes the frisk that actually precedes something wholesome…

My libido is lowered on my small dose of Risperidone but it doesn’t bother me. I used to masturbate almost every day prior to becoming MI but I don’t at all now. It has been well over a year. Maybe a year and a half.

Ya, I don’t miss masturbating and I don’t miss sex. I’m cool with it.

-90%. I used to absolutely hate sex and masturbating, because my psychosis made it impossible to enjoy. But now, I have an insanely high sex drive.
