Anyone here who also experienced genital numbness/sexual dysfunction on antipsychotics? Did it go away after discontinuing/switching medication?

I have this issue but not from antipsychotics. I get it from paxil. I have a real hard time reaching climax.
I don’t have any ideas on what to do about it though.

I get very little pleasure from jacking off and have since 2015 because of antipsychotics and antidepressants. It’s worth it to stay stable though.

sorta yeah. from high prolactin. abilify lowered the prolactin and fixed it

Yeah invega did that to me pretty bad years ago. Depends on the med. Abilify and rexulti were good for sex drive.

Abilify also caused me sexual dysfunction (although i was on it very short, might have still been the penfluridol in my system) but i had to stop cause it caused incontinence for me. Im now completely off meds 3 weeks and scared my sexuality is gone forever.

Ohh haha i thought you were because of your name… im not incontinent anymore, got off abilify real quick when those problems started. Stilll unable to hold my pee for too long though. So i did get some permanent damage already. Scared i will also have pssd.

Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction disorder. But you can also get it from Snri’s and antipsychotics. Its when sexual dysfunction persists long after discontinuing medication.

Anyone knows if sexual dysfunction is likely to be permanent? I was on antipsychotics for 6 months and had severe sexual dysfunction since day 1 of medication. Now quit 3 weeks ago nothing improved yet.
