How many antipsychotics do you take? How many is too many?

My dr told me to restart rexulti because of paranoia and anxiety. But I don’t feel safe taking 3 antipsychotic pills. That’s too many, right? Plus I had impulse spending problems too that were worse I think as a side effect. I am so mad I’m in this position. I take olanzapine and aripiprazole already.

I take 2, Seroquel and Geodon. They work well together.

I take one AP. I think it depends on what will work for you. Meds I have tried since 2003 include Zoloft, Zyprexa, Clonazepam, Fluoxetine, Invega, Haldol.

I take one. Ive taken 2 and 3 before. I’ll never take 3 again

I want to stop aripirazole and take rexulti instead. Stopping aripiprazole is very very difficult to do however. I’m so mad I’m in this position.

I cannot go to sleep. I am so bitter about my life circumstances regarding this damn illness. I don’t want to take 3 antipsychotics and get side effects worsening even more.

I take 3… clozapine, Vraylar, and Haldol. The Vraylar is actually to help me sleep less cuz the clozapine knocks me out. The Haldol is a prn to take as needed, I only use it at night.

Three sounds a bit much.
Anxiety and paranoia,
Could you take more of your current aps?
Antidepressant?

I take 2 currently but tapering off of one. And then i have a prn of zyprexa. Which i took today as i wasnt feeling solid. Knocked me out.

All I take is zyprexa, 10 mg, but I’ve been on medication for thirty years.

I take three. Been taking them for years. Risperdal, Geodon and Seroquel. I see my pdoc in six months. I’ll see if she wants to taper me off something then.

My pdoc is pregnant and due next month. She’ll have a new baby when I see her next.

I take Invega and clozapine. So 2.

I take one. Well 2 atm cause I’m switching meds. But my goal is to be on only one.

I take 2 AP’s - Ziprasidone and Clozapine. They work very well for me, i have no real issues with side effects.

I’m only on 1, 10mg of olanzapine recently cut down from 20mg. I find it harder on a lower dosage but more way beneficial to my general health and well being.

I take rexulti and amisulpride. And also atomoxetine. So 2 anti psyches and one adhd med.

Currently just 20mg Abilify, but will be adding 0.25mg of Risperdone to the mix soon.

So that would make it two APs.

Clozapine, chlorpromazine and haloperidol
