Since 2008. July 31st to be exact. That was first hospitalization. So a few days before. So almost 15 years.
First psychosis leading to being medicated was in '88. So its been a while.
Things were getting weird around 92/93 and DXed in 93/94.
I have been living with schizophrenia for 28 years! i was 20 years of age when i first got ill!
21 years seeing the mh services. Around 15 with sz dx
First episode 2010. Second episode 2020.
5 years, was diagnosed in 2019 but had symptoms before that.
Diagnosed at age 19 in 1980. So 43 years.
I was diagnosed in 2017, so diagnosed SzA for 6 years now. But my symptoms (mood and hallucinations) started when I was 12. So, I’ve technically been dealing with it for 13 years.
All my life. I remember dealing with this when I was six years old. It just got worse as I got older.
My first psychotic episode started in late 2019 worst christmas ever.
My psychiatrist told me sz is a neurodevelopmental disorder so there are signs in childhood…idk how common full on symptoms are in childhood but there are definitely signs. Full symptoms are prob just more rare.
I was diagnosed with it in 2003, so I’ve been receiving treatment for 20 years now.
Since the 90s. So at least30 years.
I was first diagnosed with schizophrenia at 20 years old, I’m now 58 so it’s been 38 years.
Over 26 years.
But longer really because I was mentally I’ll as a child but that was other issues then anc always had insomnia.
Had my first psychotic break at 16 years old. Lasted so long. Was diagnosed not long after that. So around 13 years ago i guess since im now 29.
Five years, my first episode was in 2018, I’ve recovered a lot since then, so I may have just had psychosis instead of full blown schizophrenia
14 years. Since 2009.
I was born lost in my imagination so I’ve always been mad. I’m learning how to feel, to accept reality because fantasy is more painful.
