How long have you been living with SZ?

Since 2008. July 31st to be exact. That was first hospitalization. So a few days before. So almost 15 years.

First psychosis leading to being medicated was in '88. So its been a while.

I was diagnosed in 2017, so diagnosed SzA for 6 years now. But my symptoms (mood and hallucinations) started when I was 12. So, I’ve technically been dealing with it for 13 years.

All my life. I remember dealing with this when I was six years old. It just got worse as I got older.

My first psychotic episode started in late 2019 worst christmas ever.

My psychiatrist told me sz is a neurodevelopmental disorder so there are signs in childhood…idk how common full on symptoms are in childhood but there are definitely signs. Full symptoms are prob just more rare.

Had my first psychotic break at 16 years old. Lasted so long. Was diagnosed not long after that. So around 13 years ago i guess since im now 29.

Five years, my first episode was in 2018, I’ve recovered a lot since then, so I may have just had psychosis instead of full blown schizophrenia

14 years. Since 2009.

I was born lost in my imagination so I’ve always been mad. I’m learning how to feel, to accept reality because fantasy is more painful.
