I have been using clozapine for some months now, but I still hear voices. How long did it take for you to work.

It’s different for each person. I will hear voices on practically all meds because I am classed as treatment resistant. The amount of medication it takes to remove my positive symptoms also strips away most of my cognition and motivation and turns me into a lump. Clozapine reduced my voices by quite a bit but didn’t get rid of them, and I had … other problems on that med. I have had to learn to live with some voices while maintaining my insight.

I echo what shutterbug says below. Everyone is different. I have heard the odd voice on different medications. If I remember correctly I stopped hearing voices on clozapine but they can come back in times of stress. I too am classed as treatment resistant. You just have to be patient
