I just want to find out if I’m late to the party.
I had a long bout of psychosis from 26 to 29, in and out of pysch wards non stop. It was terrible. They briefly mentioned sz, and medicated me for it, but it was never an official diagnosis. I didnt get officially diagnosed until i was 37.

Roughly 6 months.
I was in and out of two hospital wards but didn’t have insurance to cover me, so they let me go unstable…I was finally a year later put in a state hospital and they kept me until I stabilized…it was then that I accepted my diagnosis…schizoaffective at first because my lack of synthroid made me a roller coaster plus I was euphoric in my first psychosis.
A couple months. It was the decision of the public who called an ambulance
It took me over a year I wasn’t honest when admitted I thought it was real people’s voices.
I became unwell when i was 17. I never spught help. I got worse and came to the attention of mental health professionals when i was about 21. I was diagnosed at 22.
About a year… intresting that second hospitalization they had no reason for it. I folowed cops voluntarely, not knowing what will happend
Still in the process as the docs don’t have a clue 13 years on
A few months, i had two psychotic breaks successively
When I was 17, they finally said schizoaffective…
I started seeing a therapist when I was 19. 5 months later I was hospitalized and from there I was put in a house for schizophrenics. I was in denial that anything was wrong with me but after seeing a psychiatrist who was also a family friend, I realized I was schizophrenic.
I walked in to a crisis meeting thinking I was dead yet still suicidal and after spending the night answering my sleeping roommate’s non verbalized questions, he eventually got pissed and left the room, the next morning I had a Psychosis NOS label. Took a year to get the sza dx and even longer to remain med compliant all before my 24th birthday.
I had my first seriously bad psychotic break at age 23. I didn’t get diagnosed with my present diagnosis until I was 33 or 34, so, around ten years.
