How long did it take you to beat thought broadcasting?

Yeah but I can cope with it.

Mine was horrible at work. Between psychosis and phys probs, they had to let me go because I’d been out on long term disability too long.
I think that not being around so many people all day has made it seem like its getting somewhat better. But, in stores or restaurants and such, I still have to position myself properly so I can protect my eyes and therefore my thoughts.
Some day I’d really like to not worry about that at all though.

İ have similar delusion.i m thinking my emotion controlled by my society.and emotion control my thoughts.i m on max dose but unfortunately i didn t find any solution for this

I never defeated the delusion but it went away. In fact I believe in thought broadcasting, I just don’t let it bother me and think about it much.

Five years is how long it took me, seems to get way better as I age. I take abilify btw, seems to work really good for thought broadcasting

still have it.

its worse around people.

Thirty three years.

@Ali_Smalls I know how old I am. Yes I’m old. And proud of it. But my life is not yet over. And the proof of that is my heart is still ticking.

And as far as the 33 years of thought broadcasting? That’s what you get when you are born too soon. Born before life changing medicines are developed. Simple as that.

Mine went away with invega

Mine disappeared in a couple of days on 20mg olanzapine. It came back when I was reduced to 2.5mg. I don’t have it now, I’m on 5mg along with some other drugs.

How long have you been taking Invega?

Sounds like you need a combination of two or more ap’s.

What does your pdoc say when you say you are still having these thoughts?

My doctor says that this symptom usually goes quickly and I don’t know why it takes you so long. I stried haloperidol 20 mg ,olanzapine 20mg, amisulpride, risperidone now I am on clozapine 200mg

I did not try aripiprazole, he told me that it is weak

Yeah that was my experience with aripiprazole. On 10mg it didn’t help my symptoms much and gave me mad akathesia.

For me, the thought broadcasting took a couple months to go away the first time round.

Second time round it went away within a fortnight.

Second time round, I went on the antipsychotic MUCH SOONER than first time round.

I think that may have contributed to it going away faster the second time round.

How long did you have thought broadcasting before you discovered such a symptom and went to the doctor?
