How is your physical health? #2

In celebration of my not-so-working body, I have decided to create a second edition of my post about physical health. I have realized that a number of members are having physical problems and I wanted to check in and see how you are doing.

I realized that my physical health is as important as my mental health. If I ignore my well-being and my physical pain, my mental health won’t be as good.

How is your physical health?

  • It’s excellent!
  • It’s okay, but not perfect.
  • It’s not great right now, but it will get better.
  • It is not doing great for a long time.
  • It changes all the time.

I’m in quite good shape physically although I could do with losing some weight

I smoke a pack a day and it hasnt effected me yet, my blood pressure is the best of all my doctors patients. I drink fizzy drinks like crazy but not that overweight. Doing so so. Im 32 maby the bad habits will catch up later in life

I’m actually obese but I don’t have high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol. The weight just makes me slow and my knees and hips hurt if I have to take stairs. I have little stamina and couldn’t run if a bear was chasing me. I gained 30lbs in 2 months on zyprexa so maybe the suddenness of the extra weight is what makes it so hard to deal with.

@WhiteRaven I heard that this could happen with some medications. The knee/hip pain is so horrible- sorry to hear that you go through that also.

@MisterCrowley I understand. I also like fizzy drinks (carbonated drinks) but I don’t drink them all the time. You will be ok- if you are concerned about smoking you could also see a specialist for that.

@shellys12 You’re doing great! Please take care of yourself and know that you are loved.

I get sick on a fairly regular basis. Right now I’m 90% certain I have a UTI.

No real physical problems yet knock on wood although I’m not as thin as I’d like to be I’m not fat

Scalp tension is my biggest problem - causes headaches and inability to think.

I’m in fairly good shape for my age (59), although I have some back and arthritis issues that I keep under control with daily yoga. My BMI is normal. I get almost daily migraines though that I know how to successfully treat, fortunately.

My health is kick ass.

I switched meds a couple months ago and I’m losing weight again. I go i the gym. 6 or 7 days a week and use my fitness pal to track my calories.

I’m so thin, now i weigh 130 lb/58kg
not even i can gain weight with meds
it’s frustrating

I am pretty well physically.

I go to the gym four times a week.
I have a normal bmi I think (160cm weigh approximately 60kg)but still would like to lose 5-8 kg.

I’m a vegan.

I have a saw neck every day and feel restrained and twisted which is uncomfortable and hurts and feels aweful and I don’t want to be in restraints or on a invisible leash and everyone’s bi tch.

I had ovarian cancer about seven years ago so I had early menopause.

I had my ovaries removed and now I want to have my uterus removed as I think it will just give me problems (had abnormal bleeding etc)

I have a thing on my kidney and need to have a scan of that in a few months.

thankfully I’m well otherwise I think.

How is your physical health?

I have rather excellent physical health but despite it I have no job and wife. I have poor physical strength and endurance, was rather poor in physical education in school. I had quite significant eczema on hands about 10 years ago, but it was not painful and practically not disabling. In childhood I had relatively large number of infections. I had low birth weight and was very light in comparison to my body length at birth.
