I have broken all ties with other people - many of whom were like you describe.
It really sucks…
Sometimes I wish I could meet someone and be equals, but it never seems to work out that way from what I have seen

How are you stuck with him? Are you dependent on him?
This is an insecurity / mentall health issues of yours. People rarely take “advantages” of others
Its the perceived “i am a victim because i am to nice” which is problematic
I loaned the woman next door $20.00 a few weeks ago, and I don’t think she is going to pay me back. I’ve been borrowing her phone, though, and I just might let the twenty go if she keeps allowing me to use her phone when I need it. My own cell phone died on me, so I need a phone.
I changed my phone number and don’t answer calls. So no one can really take advantage of me.
Growing up, and prior to cutting off people. Yes I am a pushover and easy target.
So i guess - i don’t have the skill to say no if i was confronted by a person wanting something.
