I take supplements that keep me chilled out.

I cut back on them the last few days and really felt on edge. So I’m back on them again.

Vaping 40mg nicotine removes all my stress.
I don’t recommend vaping if you’re not already smoking.

Masturbate, I guess. A lot of men do it. I need to exercise soon. I’m tired of being fat. I also drink energy drink to destress, but I think it does the opposite. I smoke too. I like it. I make my own so it’s better quality tobacco.

Some things I do to calm down are:

Put an ice pack on the back of your head. This will cool down your brain and reduce activity in your limbic system, where emotions happen.

Do a task with simple, clear steps. I like baking. I follow the recipe, and it’s easy enough that I don’t get frustrated, but it requires enough concentration that I don’t have room to think about other things. Cleaning also helps.

Engage your five senses. This will remind you what is real and what isn’t. Listen to soothing music. Smell something pleasant, like an essential oil. Suck on a hard candy. Look at pictures of things you enjoy. Feel something with an interesting texture, like a piece of Velcro or a stress ball.

Try to levitate something with your mind. You obviously won’t succeed, but it gets you to focus all of your attention on a single point outside your body, instead of on your thoughts. I like to use this on airplanes or in public places, because it doesn’t require you to move at all. It looks like you’re just daydreaming to observers.

I like making music. It is a pretty good distraction. It’s pretty cool playing tracks I made years ago or singing karaoke on Smule.

Lately I have been making a bowl of jello every night. It’s pretty easy to do and I can take my time making it. Also for a night snack I have been having a small bowl of defrosted frozen berries.

I text and email people quite a bit but hopefully don’t annoy them too much.

My cat crawls up next to me every night for a tummy rub.

I stretch a lot.

I like to de-stress by being alone in front of my computer.
I don’t know why that de-stresses me, but it helps my mind relax when I’m in total control with no external input.
