how do youdeal with the stress
Nicotine, coffee, sleep and distractions
Acceptance of who I am and learning to adapt and work with it.
Chatting with friends, family and my bf, being out in nature, animals, tea, puzzles, fidget spinners.
I really want to try vaping but everyone’s discouraging me from doing that.
Hot baths. Naps are becoming enticing again. Try to find leisure activities if I can get myself to do them. My fidget cube.
Keeping myself busy with life, even though sz can get in the way of things sometimes.
Playing video games, playing guitar, watching shows. I have a lot of mood swings though it really makes things stressful on others and it upsets me that it happens often.
I vape. â– â– â– â– the haters. I vape 0 nicotine, though, too.
Some things I do to calm down are:
Put an ice pack on the back of your head. This will cool down your brain and reduce activity in your limbic system, where emotions happen.
Do a task with simple, clear steps. I like baking. I follow the recipe, and it’s easy enough that I don’t get frustrated, but it requires enough concentration that I don’t have room to think about other things. Cleaning also helps.
Engage your five senses. This will remind you what is real and what isn’t. Listen to soothing music. Smell something pleasant, like an essential oil. Suck on a hard candy. Look at pictures of things you enjoy. Feel something with an interesting texture, like a piece of Velcro or a stress ball.
I can do age regression but sometimes it helps to change my location like sit in my Tahoe and vape.
Nicotine, walks, music, play with pets, poetry.
I take L-theanine and try my best to avoid stressful situations. I rarely leave the house as going out causes me stress. So L-theanine and sticking my head in the sand basically.
Meditation and art
I let out my constant rage in the form of intrusive thoughts. I go down a black hole of negativity for a split second, then I do a split second prayer for forgiveness.
Prayers crying music
Enjoying a London Fog and petting my kitty.
Anyone else have to google london fog… but slightly apprehensive because it could be anything…
Strong Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and a shot of vanilla sweetened to taste. I buy loose leaf Earl Grey in bulk and do a pull through it in my espresso maker. Extra kick.
That sounds amazing…
Being with my three dogs, watching movies, being with my mom and watching YouTube.
I would say depression instead of stress…
- Physical exercises;
- Laughing at things you like;
- Friends (conversations);
- Eating healthy if you’re being lazy with your diet or, if you’re not, eating a marshmellow;
- Reading and studying (you focus on a productive thing instead of focusing on your problems).
