Anxiety, Stress tonight

Idk why i am overly anxious tonight. idk if its bc of what i did today or all the stuff i have to do :frowning: i hope i am not getting unwell again :(, this happened the last time :frowning: and i feel like i am just trying to get back on my feet :frowning:

I get anxiety all the time. I hope both of ares goes away. I take haldol to stop mine. It doesn’t always work.

Stress and anxiety is a bummer. Here’s some tips to help if it gets worse. Some may help you now.

Some things I do to calm down are:

Put an ice pack on the back of your head. This will cool down your brain and reduce activity in your limbic system, where emotions happen.

Do a task with simple, clear steps. I like baking. I follow the recipe, and it’s easy enough that I don’t get frustrated, but it requires enough concentration that I don’t have room to think about other things. Cleaning also helps.

Engage your five senses. This will remind you what is real and what isn’t. Listen to soothing music. Smell something pleasant, like an essential oil. Suck on a hard candy. Look at pictures of things you enjoy. Feel something with an interesting texture, like a piece of Velcro or a stress ball.

Try to levitate something with your mind. You obviously won’t succeed, but it gets you to focus all of your attention on a single point outside your body, instead of on your thoughts. I like to use this on airplanes or in public places, because it doesn’t require you to move at all. It looks like you’re just daydreaming to observers.

I got anxious a few times in the cafe today but i am lucky bc i asked them if i could sit down for a bit,

I think i have too much going on atm, idk what i should do, i booked a session with a busier cafe for Wednesday but i am a bit worried about it, its really complicated,

My excuse for the anxiety today was my gal bladder bc i am getting it removed soon apparently but idk if that is the source of my pain in my heart/chest :frowning: my breathing slows right down when its a a critical stage, i went into hysterics when the police took me to the hospital at the entrance :frowning:

its a little better now, i’m listening to calming music and i have a nice warm drink i am clutching, holding something helps with me usually a drink, distraction definitely works, i think when things build up sometimes it all gets too much, i have a date tomorrow but idk if i want to go

hopefully the anxiety gets better for you.
I get anxious regularly too but i don’t go out alone anymore and then it’s better.
