Blue jays are pretty…annoying with their incessant squawks anytime you want to sleep in.
I’ve always loved the crows around my house, have to say “Hello Crow” to each one I see for good luck.
Plus I always aim for the walnuts they will drop in front of my moving car, hoping I’ll run the nut over and break it open for them to feast on.
Once I had to back up several times in the street just to smash it flat enough to open. Got some odd looks, but I didn’t care, this was between the crow and me.
they are geniuses… and I would do the same if I noticed them dropping nuts for me to bust open from them… now I want to sit around cracking nuts with the crows for them to feast on… while they talk amongst themselves about how this sucker human is breaking open the nuts and not even eating any lol
We have a lot of pecan, walnut, almond trees around our town, and when ready, the crows are hanging around.
I bet I look pretty silly doing the two stomp nut dance on every nut on the ground…think I care whose taking notes?
Nope.
All that counts is the waiting crows knows it’s done for them.
I quite like crows and ravens. As far as attracting them I think nuts would do the job if you don’t mind other birds stoping in to say hi.

I used to believe all birds when they made a sound that they were fighting in a spirit world and that was the sound of their guns when they chirped. they were protecting me from the demons…so glad that I believed that about the birds…love crows too…smart birds.
Ever since u made this thread all the crows showed up at my house.
I sent them… they come for your shiny stuff… and crackers…
