My house purchase is in underwriting, so its getting near the end of financing.
Ran into a snag with the appraiser, though. They want a basement window that is broken and just has a board up fixed, prior to their final walkthrough.
I dont know who is supposed to fix the window, as I dont own the house yet and dont have access without someone letting me in and the seller is selling it as “how is, where is”, so I dont know if they will be willing to fix it.
I guess my realtor and finance people are “working on options”. Not sure what that means, but its a freaking headache. I was going to fix the window anyway once i purchase. Requiring it fixed beforehand is just a headache that benefits no one.
