it’s underway, college ball, nba, 7th and 8th grade ball. I see my old school Indiana university won their first game. they played some nobody, they got a top in state recruit playing for them this season Romeo Langford. the most hyped player around here since damon bailey in the early 90’s. personally I don’t like the one and done guys, i’d rather recruit players that are going to stick around for 3 or 4 years. the one and dones get so much hype and they disrupt the offense getting their own shots all the time.
went to see my both my nephews play last night. they both won easily. the younger one in 7th grade is a slick little point guard, good shooter too. he was the smallest guy on the floor but his dad is 6’5 so there is still hopes he’ll grow. his older brother is more of a role player, rebounding and what not…but he was still out there looking for his shot…good for him.
nba is underway…im pulling for the Celtics. I think they lost their last game, I haven’t caught a game yet. my prediction for the finals is Celtics warriors, I think the Celtics will improve as the season progresses. nobody is beating the warriors unless they beat themselves.
im intrigued of the news that the g league is it? is going to be paying high school kids up to 125k to skip college…makes sense to me just like minor league baseball
the difference between Kentucky and Indiana is that Indiana actually produces its own talent on the floor. Kentucky just recruits nationally, i’d rather lose with my guys than win with yours is the attitude I take.
I think that is normal. I used to have a rooting interest when I was younger but grew away from it. recently I’ve been getting back into basketball, I like pro more than college but I still watch IU games when I have time.
ha. I used to watch sportscenter all day. I knew quite a bit. thankfully I turned it off and forgot most of the players names but I still know fundamentals of basketball, I could coach little kids on how to play.
He won a championship in his first year with all Jim Calhoun’s players. He was terrible after that lol. New coach is Dan Hurley. I think he’s bob Hurley’s younger brother he was the coach at uri.
