I watched some of the Olympics. I didn’t see any of the primetime stuff though. I just watched what was on during the day. I probably should have watched more though. It kinda got repetitive.

@TheBest my Indiana hoosiers had a down year. What do you think of recruiting in college basketball? Do you think the NBA will develop a minor league for 18 year olds so well be done with one and dones?
On recruiting I like to see my teams recruit regionally even if that means more losses. I like it when the hoosiers only recruit from Indiana Ohio Illinois Michigan and Kentucky. Mostly Indiana. These big teams sell their soul for top recruits and end up neglecting their regional talent base

@yaz1 There’s a lot of talk going on about college basketball and some NBA players pretty much says lots of people take money. I’m not entirely sure exactly sure what has happened though. I heard the FBI did wiretaps on the head coach of Arizona and he was talking about paying a player 100 grand. He has denied it. I just think the NBA needs to pay the G-League players better. They barely get paid anything.
I would say minor leaguers are worth 30-60k, no more than a journeyman electrician but that’s just my opinion. of course some guys will get paid more if they can actually make the NBA as insurance

The guys who don’t get called up to the NBA get paid about 20 grand. Not much incentive to play in the league.
Oh actually there might be a 50 grand rule in the G-League. I guess that’s enough for a year.
yeah I think i’d do something else. not worth the injury risk. I guess they like the lifestyle. I think baseball and hockey have working models for minor leagues. Either sign right out of high school or go to school for 3 years. I think that would take care of the problem

I think playing in Europe for a year would be cool. It should be whatever’s best for the athlete.
some guys have gone to Europe. That would be an interesting experience, probably more valuable than freshman year in a college dorm. Did you see the story of the baseball coach who got in trouble for saying he doesn’t recruit athletes from Colorado?

haha yeah I saw that. They talked about it on a sports talk radio show about the Broncos forever. The coach wasn’t very smart.
