What are some good remedies for anxiety? I read online that camomile supplements significantly decrease anxiety over time and will go buy some camomile tea. Does this work? What are other options?
Check l theanine…its good for positive symptoms… along with good sleep and anxiety…
I don’t know weather camomile tea helps anxiety but it is known to
However the taste is too vile for my liking
Valeria known to decrease anxiety
Chamomile is good
Lavender and mint are wonderful for anxiety and so is chamomile you can also try aromatherapy with these things. Or make a nice tea
I’m not trying to be a douche when I say this
but deep breaths really help with anxiety
inhale—count to five, hold for five, exhale for five. And make sure it gets really low in your belly, the air, to your vegas nerve. And it works as an anti-anxiety. it really helps if you can get in the habit of breathing like this. You can do it almost naturally and it really helps.
Tried camomile mint tea and my anxiety really does seem a little better. I’m able to focus a little more. It makes you fall asleep restfully so it is great for bed time.
To a lesser extent Benadryl helps
I’m super glad that worked for you!
I beat my panic disorder by defeating the anxiety and panic with mind control…it takes practice but you can “talk yourself out of your anxiety”. Just learn to not fear the anxiety and it will go away if you really try…good luck…it’s not easy…it took me two years to master and now I have no anxiety or panic.
Tiny hit of heavy Indica marijuana.
TINIEST of hits. Slight buzz.
Most of my anxiety arises from too loud noise (whistling, people talking too loud, the kids, etc), or lots of visual stimulation (busy store, the kids, etc), so I usually try to eliminate those stimuli. I wear ear plugs for most of the day, and wear a hat to the store - one with a broad rim so I don’t see too much at once. I often also have problems with people walking behind me. So, sometimes I have to stop and let them pass.
But mostly, I think my anxiety is lessening because of the meds I am on.
Hey my suggestion may sound silly so you should know first that I also suffer from an anxiety disorder and it’s really hard to calm down especially when people tell you to deep breathe and drink tea when it feels like your literally dying. (Even if that stuff may help)
now that that’s out of the way, my mum is a witch. She always has lots of neat things she does that was past down to her from my gran (another witch lol) lots of herbal remedies, potions and whatnot. She taught me about the magical properties of BAY LEAVES it can help decrease anxiety when you burn them, among other things.
I believe you can just google ‘bay leaf anxiety’ and their will be lots of results with proper instructions. No magic words or cauldron needed. If you cannot summon the flames directly from hell storebought is fine. (The last part was a joke, haha)
Magnesium taurate works for me.
My anxiety has died down drastically after taking simple note of what is and is not within my control. I recommend trying to come to terms with that which is bothering you. When I couldn’t focus enough to do that I would hold and melt an ice cube in my palm. Sounds stupid but it’s an extreme sensory signal, kinda like a “snap out of it” slap lol
I love chamomile…
Sweet hot chocolate. Shower. Sex. Nice big meal…a can of beer…candlelight and soft music…walking in a forest…
Yell at imbeciles who yell at you.
One thing that helped me was learning that it was okay to be scared.
I realised at some point that most of my anxiety attacks were, in reality, me getting scared of getting scared. I realised that whenever I felt anxiety coming in, I’d panic because I didn’t want to be scared, and I didn’t want anyone to see me getting scared, AND I didn’t like the way I lost control over myself.
Once I learned to accept being scared, things started going better. It’s important to recognise and acknowledge the feelings you have, instead of trying to fight them. The more you try to fight and resist, the worse it will feel, and you’ll spiral into panic about being panicked.
L theanine helps me. Avoiding caffeine and alcohol. Trying not to read, watch or talk about scary or stressful things and searching out positive, calm things like meditation with music videos, inspiring /happy ending movies, relaxing or even rock music. etc. just enjoyable distractions.
