Always a tough time of year for a lot of members in our community. Just wanted to start a thread for those who aren’t doing the family or friend thing this holiday season. It’s been a year to forget for most of the world but it’s always good to know that your a member of a community here that supports each other…
So. Over the next week or so feel free to drop by here and leave a note for others even if you have plans. I always like to say that together we make our worlds and it’s nice to know your not alone. Dad and I will be delivering Christmas meals around town on Christmas Eve Day.
Will be home with dad and his girlfriend though I may not get together with my mom’s side of the family due to Covid so it may be a phone call instead to my grandma, mom, and a favorite aunt.
Dad and I are going to my sisters. Good spot and this year very quiet. All my brothers are hooked up and doing things with their girls…so quiet Xmas day. My sister usually invites all the extended family over for boxing day ( day after Xmas ). This year it’s so quiet. Lots of people have other family things on and with the covid it’s certainly a weirder world. …
I will be home alone. I’m in constant contact with my dear mum tho, and my twin always rings up to see how I am, so it won’t be too bad.
Christmas is actually warming to me now, stocked up on good food and had the flat properly cleaned, so for the next week I will be slobbing it in my pajamas on the sofa with a pot of tea on the go.
No family get together this year because of covid my Grandma made me a bunch of cookies and beef jerky Unfortunantly I almost ate it all already I think ill go for dinner with my Mom and her boyfriend this year
This year on Christmas Eve it’ll be my 20 year old and my husband. On Christmas Day it’ll be my 15 year old and my husband. Not hosting this year. My father in law passed away and my brother in law will be with a friend
Its just me and my parents as my brothers will be with their gf and friends. Usually we have visitors, other family members, but not now due to covid. So I will be on the forum like I always do.
I have Thursday and Friday off work. My older sister is in Mexico now and my only family now is my middle sister (and to a way lesser degree, my nephew). My sister will spend Christmas morning with her friends or her new boyfriend. She’s having me over in the evening for dinner.
I’ll find something to do. Just to get out of the house and get some fresh air, Christmas morning I’ll pack some snacks and drive to the park. The goal is to walk but I might settle for just sitting in my car listening to CD’s or the radio.
