What’s the history of this forum? How long has it been around? Any funny stories?

I joined the old site in 1999. It was wild and woolly back then for sure on the internet. Crazy times with crazy people and it was largely not moderated. Still. Met my ex wife in the chat room one evening. That was crazy. Really was a different world back then.
Too many stories best left unsaid but there’s still regulars who are around since then or earlier.
