Hiking and Camping

Anyone goes long term hiking and camping on medication? It’s kind of a problem when you have got to have monthly shots and buy medication.

I’ve got years in the scouts and my parents where addicted to caravanning so learned to loath camping. Meds would be an issue but can be worked around much like all we have to do to flying over seas So just a case of being more prepared

I would like to go hiking and camping, but I have no auto and I live alone and so I can not go very far, maybe I go to the local forest for one night in the next summer. Would be fun.

I don’t camp much any longer as there is no one to go with. I also use sleep aids. So, I don’t want to sleep outside alone, even if the humans are the only big predators here. Would like to go hiking by fall…It’s a goal, kinda after breaking leg and back 18 months ago. Need to have a goal to bounce back.

I don’t know anyone who goes camping for more that 5 or 6 days. I would love to go camping again; it’s been years.

When I lived in my auto in America over two years 13 years ago,I basically lived outdoors all the time, it was like camping, some of things I did were such as walking around Miami Beach until the early morning hours and then going to my auto in my favorite parking lot to sleep some hours only to wake up to enjoy the sunrise on the beach.

Some of my friends and I used to go backpacking in the Buffalo Creek Wilderness area in the Arkansas Ozarks. It was great. Now my backpacking is hampered by med’s. There is a wilderness area in Oklahoma not far from where I live. The problem with it is that you’d probably run across somebody’s marijuana crop if you went back there, and you’d get an ass full of buckshot. They grow a lot of marijuana back in those Oklahoma hills.

Not on medication. Long term, I camped for a month - 6 weeks a few times. many, many weekend and overnight camps.
Hiked and camped to the top of this with the Scouts when I was 12.

This is where I camped for 6 weeks, and for 3 weeks another time…with this view. I’ve hiked in those mountains in the distance too.

That is very beautiful

I like being outdoor, but i dont like hiking since my med makes me exousted especially during summer.
