Hello everyone I have a question. When is blood pressure high enough to go to er? I checked my blood pressure this morning and it was 130/90 and for the last 6months I check it often and its 120/80.
I just started ozempic and stopped vaping too. I use the high nicotine pouches now and thought they would be healthier than vaping.
Should I be worried? I also felt light headed this morning. Also my heart rate has been elevated for the last few days …
Are you a heavy guy? I am myself. Losing weight lowers blood pressure. I’m about 100 pounds overweight and my BP is usually around yours, 130/90. Im not that worried about it. I need to start eating healthier. Easier said than done though.
I did a little more research and it turns out some people have experienced high blood pressure on ozempic…like stroke level blood pressure. It makes more sense now because before I started taking it I check my BP often and it was always in normal rage and all of a sudden it’s 145/100 whereit use to be 120/80.
It sucks because I just quit vaping and I’m experiencing much easier breathing and I thought the ozempic would be a positive add on to my healthier direction but now I’m in more danger because of this med. Can’t wait for this stuff to leave my system…
Do I get to be the one to say that you need to talk to your gp instead of asking strangers medical questions? Call. Your. Doctor. If you think something is wrong or seek medical care if you feel ill in some way.
Nah … I need to stop taking the ozempic and see my doctor Friday when I’m scheduled. It’s pretty clear to me that this med is causing dangerous blood pressure spikes and I need to stop it. The truth is I don’t even need it my blood sugar is under control and I am more then capable of loosing weight naturally. I was just being lazy and ended up paying for it. I appreciate your advice but in this situation I think it’s safe to stop the ozempic…
Stopping medications suddenly can become an issue. You need to call your doctor tomorrow and get in sooner. You should never adjust meds without consulting a doctor first. Elevated blood pressure is caused by many things and only your doctor can tell you what that is.
