High blood pressure ER trip

I felt like my blood pressure might be high so i used an at home wrist cuff and it read my blood pressure at crisis levels twice so my partner took me to the ER to at least get an accurate reading. It was much lower at the ER, but still concerning enough to talk to PC about it. We talked about what has bwen going on lately and i told him that i havent been able to eat much because of lack of money and i dont drink enough fluids lately either. Im having severe negatives and i just stopped talking care of myself.

I’m sorry. That’s rough. There are cheap meals out there to help you and food banks too. Also I know your negatives are bad, but when you get around to drinking water, just slam a whole glass at a time. That’s how I keep hydrated

I understand. I don’t know if it’s negatives or depression but my self care has also been lacking. Do you think they’ll be able to bring your BP down, and will eating and drinking enough help it? I hope you feel better soon…

Yeah wrist cuffs aren’t very accurate. I’d recommend buying a arm cuff machine, if you can afford it. Im sorry you had to make an ER trip. Wishing the best for you Moon.

GP put me on Atenolol.

I’m in my mids 30s man and I started taking beta blockers bout 5 years ago. Best decision that was made for me.
