Hi what are you studying in school/college?

That is a stressful field. What would you specialize after the graduation?

That’s if I can even graduate! I was doing very well b4 my illness but now I have lost hope! If I can actually graduate I would like to specialise in psychiatry to help others suffering from mental illness!but that’s a big if. Currently my mind changes from I can do this, I have just 1 year left to graduate but then my mind tells me I can’t do it!i should just change to a less stressful course like physiology! My psychiatrist says even if I change course I will still be confronting the same problems so I should try and cope with medicine

I think you should stay with medicine. You are almost done. Have you thought about doing brain training games or taking supplements?

What sorts of supplements? Do u have any in mind?

That’s huge man. You shouldn’t give up.
You could change people’s lives like Notmoses.

That’s true! I really want to help others, it’s what I have always enjoyed doing

Well sarcosine and NAC. They’re pinned on top. Also l theanine and pregnenolone. I’m taking them. There’s also racetams and choline to increase intelligence and memory but I don’t know if they are safe. Then there’s also huperzine and vinpocetine. I take those. I think the biggest impact on my memory and intelligence besides the illness is being over medicated. I’m currently on two antipsychotics. I told my doctor I have a bad memory and she is taking me off one. Good luck.

Thank you! I wish you all the best too!

Psychiatrists in the USA make over $100k a year. You could live well and retire early. You could also help people. Having more money means you can have a higher quality of life and get better care. It’s not all about the money but it helps. That should be some motivation.

You shouldn’t give up man, things get easier if you try and take it one step at a time. We are rooting for you.

Those are all great motivational points! Thanks

Thanks! I wish you the best too!what are u studying in college?

You could also try Dual N- Back training to increase intelligence. I haven’t tried it yet. It seems hard, but don’t be so discouraged. You’re already smart. Knowing 5 languages is something most people can’t do. You should be proud of yourself!

I was studying mathematics in 2011. I dropped out because of positive symptoms. Now I feel too stupid to go back and I lost my passion for mathematics. I think I can recover someday though.
