just wanna say that , if I had my own money and my own home I would not be using these awesome meds.
maybe the ones new in meds will not like my idea but I have to say that after 16 years of medication what I
have is a more damaged brain than the one I had before.these meds suck. that is all what they do.they stop you .yes that’s true but you cant do anything and the more time u use them the more disabled you are.believe me or not that’s my experience. So one can ask now why I am still using them.As I told before no home no money.and my family is forcing me to use them.good luck to everybody either oof or an meds,no determination, maybe you will safe your by using meds but for me bad experience.
you sound like trouble mister. the reasons why a schizophrenic should take AP meds is obvious. maybe you have no home or money right now but what did you do all the 16 years that you took meds? drift on nothing? you aren’t making sense.
Sounds like me a few years back
through 16 years I quitted meds 8 times and everytime I quitted I felt better I don’t know how long u have been using but in my experience the more u use the worse u are.if u are new on meds this will make no sense to you.because at the beginning u don’t feel it.After at least 10 years u start to see that something is going very wrong.my aim is not to kill the hope ,but simply this is my experience, maybe there are people who are good on meds, maybe it is something genetic,i don’t know but if I had the chance now I would not be using,am I problematic?yes that’s true I am,especially with meds.My life is hole disaster now.btu have hope maybe they will work for lots of people but not on me.
I’m married with a wife and child. We own our home, vehicles, holiday trailer, etc. I am employed full-time and have been for years. (Sz hit me like a truck about 25 years ago.) None of the success I’ve enjoyed in managing my illness and living my life would have been possible for me without:
- Medications taken as prescribed.
- Willingness to work with my doctor.
- Therapy (I usually do a couple of therapy books a month now).
- A recovery focused attitude.
I’m a big fan of medication – it has freed me from delusions and given me a life worth living.
Welcome to the community.
Hello, and welcome to schizophrenia.com!
It’s fine that you don’t like the meds, but please understand that they help most people with schizophrenia a lot.
If you tell people here not to take their meds as prescribed by their doctor or in any way demonize the use of meds, we will delete your posts and consider suspending your account. This site has a strong focus on recovery, and meds are an essential part of recovery for most people, so we would not want anyone to mess that part up for anyone else. This is just a heads up so that you know what is acceptable to post and what is not. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks for reading.
