Hey, MortimerMouse

I’ve really started hard again today with working out, like hiking uphill on my treadmill (sweat anyone?) and running sprints, doing my punching bag, dancing, bike riding. I fell out of it for awhile and I gained 25 pounds, just from sitting around reading and writing and doing nothing. I was just wondering, how do you stay motivated to work out every day? Can you recommend any music for me, tips, advice?

Also, I did temp work yesterday and they had a meeting there about how you can’t go fast but do detail work because the day before they told me they’d have to redo everything I did, so I felt like I wasn’t well received, then yesterday, they went over my work and said it wasn’t good enough, I don’t know, I just felt like then they really didn’t like me, or want to work with me, and I really wanted to leave. I was starting to have an episode that people all treat me badly everywhere I go and I can’t escape, and I wondered even if I was getting suicidal and stuck. But the good news is that I did not leave, and I worked the rest of the day very well without any problems, so I really was able to turn around my episode, which rarely happens, so thank you meds!

Congratulations on all that work. Very cool. I’m glad you were able to turn it around and keep going… very cool… :+1:

As far as staying motivated… I try to give myself sort of half way bench marks and then actually treat myself when I reach them…

I’m trying to work up to swimming the lake Washington open water… Even if I don’t come in to the top 10… I’d like to try and swim it…

So when I was able to get back up to a mile… I bought a book I always wanted.
when I got back up to a mile timed… I bought something else I had been wanting.

Just little things… It helped me stay motivated…

It sound like your making some really great strides… congratulations again and keep up the hard work.

Thank you so much! Yes, that is the way to do it, in fact they know that reward motivate kids and employees and even athletes to push harder and meet goals. I thank you for the tips, and good luck with that swim. I love swimming, but it’s expensive, I like to do things that are free.

Well, the work sounds like you are just a fast worker- that’s not the primary concern, that’s more a whole different problem and also a personality trait that would start an entirely new conversation.

About my motivation- understand that I have been working out since the age of 10. I began lifting and getting big when I was 13. I was the buffest kid in junior high, then got anorexic when I was 16 then recovered and got buff as living ■■■■ by the time the illness hit me at 18. It’s just part of how I live.

I drink caffeine, espresso, usually two shots in the morning and two in the afternoon, comes in cans, starbucks makes em prepared with a little cream and sugar, best served cold. I would start with one then workout then another after you workout, two before a workout can make your heart rate go nuts, but if you are really tired from meds and things like that, just drink two before working out. Do keep in mind that caffeine is better for lifting while water and sports drinks are better for cardio- mild caffeine is best for cardio. For example, I drank 2 cans of espresso before my leg routine today and felt like my heart rate was too high- I was coated in sweat and my legs were literally falling out LOL

Tomorrow I have Krav Maga training at 10am and will drink just one double espresso to keep my heart rate not too high but enough to be wide awake and ready to fight.

I listen to metal and some rap, mostly metal, all sorts, from Slipknot to Marilyn Manson to Christian metal like Skillet, Pillar, ect. I am not Christian though. Sort of like how I am not Italian but love meatball subs.

I have a couple playlists, they’re mostly Korn, Slipknot, Hollywood Undead, Marilyn Manson, Stone Sour, Skillet, Fort Minor, Eminem, Sick Puppies, ect.

You need to replace lost salts and water from sweat. If your sweat doesnt taste salty, you need to eat more salt on your food. I recommend drinking a gallon of water or sports drink a day like I do.

I would like to answer any sorts of questions, I like to share what makes me tick

Thanks mortimer I know it’s so many great things from caffeine so cool. I mean I know caffeine is best after a workout right? You had a short history but life will be kinder to you now I mean from high school. I will try to get your music I have some I think. Life with eating disorder is often alleviated with physical workouts do you think?
