I am looking forward to all the food we will be having at Thanksgiving…!! smoked turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy with cranberry stuffing all over the stuffing !! pies, cakes and such…can’t wait !! are you excited?

I am excited. most of my family is staying over at mom and dad’s. not sure if my brother can make it, he may have to work. but his wife, and 2 daughters are flying in.
on Thursday we are going over to my sister’s who lives close and we will eat. and then on Friday mom is having her own thanksgiving here. I will probably put on 5 pounds from the 2 days of feasting.

I’m not too excited. Despite coming into a large cash settlement recently, my mom has decided to take a job working for another family for Thanksgiving. So I won’t be seeing her. I hope it’s worth the 180 dollars or whatever she makes, I wish I could pay her the same amount just to stay home. She’s going to regret skipping holidays when she’s old and looking back on her life.
To this woman who asked her to work, I have this to say: “Is our family’s Thanksgiving less important than yours?”
Yup! Thanksgiving with my small family, 4 people. But tons of food, enough for days.

I’m super excited!! My aunt is coming to visit from Mexico. She’s only ever been to Texas, so her traveling this far is a big deal. She plans on staying a month for the holiday festivities. My uncle came last year and we had a blast. Can’t wait for her to try my turkey, stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese. I think I may warm up some apple cider too. Ahhh! I love this time of year.

I’m excited to try this new recipe I found “Roasted Veggie Enchilada Casserole” with all kinds of roasted veggies like cauliflower, bell peppers, onions and sweet potatoes and it uses salsa for sauce. Not traditional but sounds yummy.
I’m really excited that I don’t have to fight with a huge turkey this year. It feels like a vacation.
