Who all is on clozapine here?

Does it help with thinking, voices, delusions?

I was on Clozapine 27 years ago and it helped with all aspect of the illness but came with its own set of side effects. The only side effect that really made me quit it was severe constipation.

I’m on clozapine
At the time it was the only medication to work on positive symptoms

It definitely helped with voices and delusions
Mood, not so much in my case

Don’t take it imo.

I vaguely remember sleeping 14 a hours a day and eating a lot on it.

More cons than pros

Yep i am on clozaril for the past 12 years or so, it is the only medication that has worked for me!

I’ve been on it 1.5 years now. It gives me constipation, tachycardia, and wanting to sleep a lot…BUT it has reduced my voices from 3 to 1, and it’s biggest benefit has been a reduction in suicidal ideation and self harm. It has really reduced my number of hospitalizations, too. So even though there’s a lot of side effects, I find it has benefited me overall.

I’m on Clozapine (300 mg a night). My family says it has helped me with my positive symptoms.
