Well. In the context. I was replying to Malvokās remark about how I said visual halucinations were cool. And it means that Iām not going to NOT think halucinations are cool just because the majority of people think theyāre not. And Iām certainly not going to be sad about itā¦ And if anyone ever noticed itās like a great deal of people expect and almost want you to be unhappy because youāre not working, and Iām not going to be or act sad to accomidate such peopleā¦ and thus I was also implying that Iām not going to struggle and try to get all better or become some form of ābetterā person to simply please society or conform to our wonderful modern american cultureā¦ as it would SEEM that most people get caught up doing wether they are Schizophrenic or not simply because they feel that it is the ārightā thing to do and without asking why there is this social pressure. i.e. If I want to sit in the corner and talk to the wall all day, Iām going to do just that and I donāt care if anyway says itās wrong or ābadā. And this is especially true becuase the idea of constantly trying to get better as a schizophrenic is an internal conflict itself. Its just like the more and more you try to fall asleep the longer youāre going to stay awake.

i think i know what you mean, is it like getting better without even trying as if you could just get better without thinking about it and without having people tell you what to do?
Then why are you here at a site devoted to recovery?

YES! thatās exactly what I mean! With this sort of illness you simply have to let go of ātrying to get a handle on itā and then you will experience actual lifeā¦ Instead of constantly struggling with these intangable delusions and voicesā¦ or whateverā¦ that donāt actually exist. If you end up trying to fix it, youāre just going to get locked into a battle that doesnāt really existā¦ especially since schizophrenia is based on environmental stimulus. Like for instance if youāre having halucinations in a suburban park itās not nearly going to be the same as one in sayā¦ war-torn afghanistan. hmmā¦ itās really complicated and thereās far too many variables to really put it into words hereā¦ but thats pretty much what Iām saying. And again that may apply to certain people that donāt enjoy listening to other ppls bs advice that doesnāt even workā¦ because if you enjoy trying to get better, then it will be a positive experience for youā¦ etcā¦ hmmā¦
I once began visually hallucinating the dead invading my home. I became scared and started to fight what wasnāt there. Its awful, plain awful.
I never read that this was a site devoted to recovery. And I also didnāt know recovery existed. Iām just here to talk to other people with schizophreniaā¦ simply because I enjoy conversation and to be with people that have the same affliction. Iām probably gonna leave though, if you people all believe thatā¦garbageā¦ then youāre just chasing the wind.
so you think people can get better naturally without drugs just as long as they donāt think about it?
Once when I was living in a sketch neighborhood it was around a midnight and sz man came to our door and said that people had invaded his home. My dad being the good man he is, followed him back to make sure he was alright. He then proceeded to watch the sz man attack the bathroom door. the sz manās mother came out of her bedroom holding a shotgun and thankfully did not shoot my dad on sight.
little did my family know, but thatās around the time when my inside voices first appeared. I really sympathized.

A mod or admin changed it for him. Itās possible through the software.

tht freaked me out haha.
When I was a mod there was a guy with a really offensive username. I didnāt know then that usernames could be changed so I had him create a new account. Later, I saw that changing a username was possible.
