I haven’t seen the gremlins but I have heard them for a while today. I hear them in the walls and it really bothers me. they growl and snarl and skitter like cockroaches.

could it be mice? or is it all hallucination…sometimes my mind hears real noises and invents some monster that is making said noise… and gremlins seem like a pain in the ass…
I saw a show “unsolved mysteries” that one case was describing these peoples house being haunted. My ears perked up when they started describing exactly the same kind of crap I hear in my house. They even had outsiders come in and it scared them so much they went running by morning.
To make a long story short they said this thing called the “Peltier effect” could be the reason, and forgive me for lack of knowledge to explain properly, but it was something about an electromagnetic charge that results when the water tables drop between two of same materials (like limestone slabs) under the houses.
It sure explained a lot of what could be making the footsteps, crackling, destructive noises as if someone’s tearing up the house, but when you go to look, nothing is out of place.
