Having the tooth pulled went way better than I thought it would

The actual tooth-pulling only took ten minutes and didn’t hurt. It was a small pressure and then it was out. I knew I was supposed to only eat soft food for three or four days afterward so I had stocked up on applesauce, cream soups, yogurt and avocados. I also bought frozen peaches to make smoothies. The first four days went great, the empty tooth socket didn’t hurt and was healing nice.

I was really worried I would get dry socket but it never happened. I followed directions and rinsed with warm salt water too. I slowly transitioned to eating more solid food and I haven’t looked back. Now a month and half later it’s healed nice and there were no complications or bleeding or infections. Something finally went right! Though missing a tooth sucks.

Yeah, sounds like it would be rough.

I’d be a little worried about the numbing shot they give you. Those sting anyways, I feel like it would be painful in the mouth.

Can they give you a false tooth?

I have a missing front molar. There was no adult tooth so I never lost the baby tooth. Eventually it dissolved itself and healed over it. No idea what actually happened to it… Happened last year after all this time.

It was a molar. I can’t afford $4000 for an implant and I considered a partial denture but my regular dentist recommended just leaving it alone.

Ahh got you. Yeah I wouldn’t be able to afford that either. Maybe you’ll get used to it. It probably just feels weird for a little while

In the last 4 years Ive had 8 teeth out, as long as you take it easy with eating and keep up on the salt rinses things turn out well.
