I had a case worker who did not bother with me from January to about August this year
He got sacked I think in the end
But I think that going through that time without being over reliant on their help which was patchy at best anyway
Think now I can stand on my own two feet without their help
Still maintain the Clozapine meetings for bloods
What do you think?
It wasn’t a good situation to be left but there was this unexpected side effect of being divorced from them that I am more independent

I just see a pdoc once a month. That’s the only support I get.
For the rest I manage on my own with my PRNs.
I would hate it to have to rush from meeting to meeting so I prefer it this way.
Btw, we don’t have case workers in Belgium. I think the Government thinks they are a waste of money

They put these people between the patients and doctors now
Gate keeping sucks
I don’t like telling them things anymore
Like you say something asking a question and by time it gets passed between these people they miss the point

I see a pdoc very rarely maybe once in every two years but only if needed, the meds are managed by my GP.

We don’t have a shortage of pdocs here.
I think my pdoc sees less than 100 people…

Care got seriously messed up by pent up demand during Covid
It was on the edge before
But now I feel sorry for those who can’t access them at all
My nurse at the GP surgery told me about a teenager with suspected psychosis got given an appointment for a years time!

We have a shortage of CM, T, and pDoc in my healthcare network. Lost my CM and not managing well.
Every healthcare network is different depending on your insurance here. It’s very hard to navigate and linked to your job, and if you move, every thing changes. The worst is losing your job and switching networks.

The mental health team discharged me about 2 years ago and I’m down to taking only 10mg of olanzapine. I don’t see anyone now apart from my GP.

I only see my psychiatrist for 5 minutes every 6 months. I don’t want to be discharged from them in case I have a psychotic break and need hospital basically.
