Have you heard of the term 'SNOWFLAKE' used in mental health?

Nothing wrong with that.

I like trolling egotistical celebrities on Twitter

Gets more people to view my poems

They said you should have those conversations elsewhere.

So I did.

It’s been used waaaaay too much here in the states. Its used as a derogatory term for people who are “overly sensitive,” the irony being that people who call others snowflakes are the most sensitive people out there.

Snowflake is usually meant as an insult to those who lean left. It’s common in the states to say “liberal snowflake.”

I’ve not heard of the term. I usually just say that my mom “is white as a snowflake :snowflake:” referring to her skin color. Whereas my dad is darker. Other than that I have no idea.

I personally don’t hear this term being used often.

If a Mental Health Worker called me a snowflake, they better call the police - cos i would be liable to lump 'em one. To me it means weak here - and thats highly insulting. (but i actually doubt they would - they are bloody great actually and very supportive).

Almost like they’re projecting. :face_with_monocle:

Ive never heard someone calling mentallly ill people snowflakes !!

Me neither but I’m kinda out of the loop.

Not really in mental health but in politics. I’ve used it sometimes. I prefer the term ‘special snowflake’ as opposed to ‘snowflake’.
