The only time I did it as a teen was when I drove me and my friend up to Oakland to see The Rolling Stones. Was at the concert for five hours then came out and had no idea where I parked. There was 60,000 people at the concert so I can be excused for not finding my car among 15,000 or 16,000 other cars.
That was a long time ago, like in 1978. I didn’t drive from 1990-97. I didn’t have a car again until 1997 when I bought a Toyota. It was an OK car, it was an 86 red stick shift. For some reason I kept going various places and forgetting where I parked.
One time I went inside this huge mall and forgot where I parked when I came out. I walked up and down all the aisles for about half an hour and couldn’t find my car. Finally, I saw mall security driving around and told them my story and they drove around and finally found it for me.
Another time I was at a shopping center and couldn’t find my car in the parking lot. This time I called my stepdad and he drove over and looked for it and found it. I gotta say, it’s the worst feeling to be somewhere and realize you can’t find your car.
I did it a few more times after that with that car. I had 3 cars after those incidents and never lost my car. I did it a couple times with my current car at the library for some reason.
