Our rental car got a parking ticket in Lisbon, Portugal because Nelson did not watch our car.

when i was driving the truck and they had changed the speed limit at some point for trucks and so we all didn’t know and drove the previous speed limit and got ticket… almost all drivers there got a lot of tickets that week =D

I haven’t gotten a traffic ticket in like… 10 years. But 10 years ago, I got speeding tickets all the time. :sweat_smile: The worst, most expensive ticket, was when I was going 92 MPH in a 70 MPH zone…

I am a much better driver now. Mostly…

One time I was driving about 35 mph on the highway, and I dozed off. I hit the back of the car ahead, but I didn’t do any damage. My windshield was broken where I hit my head on it. A highway patrolman came and wrote me a ticket for “operating a vehicle in an unsound manner”.

I had a few speeding tickets when I started driving but I haven’t had one in over 20 years, I learned my lesson and try to keep an eye on my speedometer.

My first traffic ticket was at 16 years old after I drove through a school bus stop arm. Had to go to juvi court and pay $100.

And a few speeding tickets in my 20s. I learned.

I got speeding tickets frequently right after I got my license (in 1989). I wound up having to go to driving school, but I didn’t lose my license. I’ve been way better since then, and – I hope I don’t jinx myself by saying this – no tickets in YEARS.

I wonder if most the people who voted no that they haven’t got a traffic ticket are people that don’t drive :crazy_face:.

I average 1 moving violation every 3 years.

A good point. People who do not drive rarely get traffic tickets.

I’ve gotten maybe six speeding tickets in my life. Could have been more. I don’t miss the standstill traffic in a large city, but I do miss the busy highways to weave in and out of. I love driving, it’s like a puzzle.

My ex husband used to say that I flirt my way out of tickets. The 3 times I got pulled over the cops were male. I’ve never gotten a ticket. I swear I’m just friendly. Im not a flirt.

When I lived in my car in America, I got pulled over a few times. Did not get any tickets. Once I was in Miami Beach and I made some food next to my car with one person from Colombia and a cop came. He just wanted to know that my cat in my car was okay.

I still haven’t got a driver’s licence. Though at 19 I did manage to write off my friend’s car drink driving unlicensed. Yuck

I don’t drive anymore. But when I was in my late teens/ early twenties, I would get lots of speeding tickets. Never had to go to court though.
